The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is an organization created to preserve the natural environment of palm oil plantations while enabling reasonable growth to support local populations. The RSPO comprises governments, palm growers, palm oil users and NGOs such as the World Wildlife Fund, and they come together to develop the guidelines for ethical and sustainable practices for the production of palm oil.

Loders Croklaan shares the goal of developing a sustainable palm industry that respects the environment and maintains its surrounding habitat. The company is very active in the RSPO: It is currently on the executive board; and Loders Croklaan’s parent company, IOI Corporation, was a founding member of the RSPO. In fact, both IOI and Loders Croklaan have already implemented RSPO guidelines and are committed to a program of continuous improvement.
